The Recoil range of fasteners allows you to create strong new threads in softer materials such as aluminium providing greater hold for bolts and screws by spreading the distribution of the load. Included in the range are standard and locking wire thread inserts, tangless inserts, and the associated installation tooling systems. Recoil is typically used in metal castings to provide stronger threads.

Typical applications include general castings or engine castings and any thread in softer materials which need strengthening.

Wire Thread Inserts

Recoil's range of quality wire thread inserts enable you to produce strong, permanent threads in metals and plastics and are available in a range of materials and thread forms from METRIC and UNC to BSW and BA.

Tangless Inserts

Recoil Tangless inserts are designed to offer the same reliable thread strengthening whilst minimizing the risk of losing a 'tang' associated with tanged inserts.

This makes them particularly suited to engine and other critical applications.

Strip Feed Inserts

To complete the Recoil power installation tools, Recoil has inserts available on strip (M2.5-M12, #2-5/16) to optimize production with increased installation cycles and reduced operator fatigue. Recoil Strip-Feed inserts are available in most common thread diameters and lengths.
